July...EMILY'S LAST DAYS IN HONG KONG

Emily wanted to get to a beach before she left Hong Kong.  Should be easy since HK is made up of hundreds of islands.  We headed our early one morning to avoid the heat and took a ferry to Lamma Island.
So far so good.  When we arrived on the Island we checked out the map and headed off to the left on the path to the beach (so we thought).  The path was quite jungle like.  It was very humid, and up hill and the trees and foliage was very thick.  We discovered in the tree overhangs there were large spider webs with large spiders in them.  The walk turned from uncomfortable to panicy as we past spiders and heard wild monkeys calling and then we found we had gone the wrong way 40 minutes into the walk.  Urggg!
So we turned around and made it back to the map in half the time.  Funny how fear can move you.  We finally reached the beach after another hot long walk the other direction.
