JUNE IS ENDING ALL TOO SOON...

Life in Hong Kong is going well for the 3 of us.  It is now the monsoon season so we have experienced some downpours and lightening/thunder shows.  Emily has gotten in the routine of work here.  She gets up and out with Dad at 6:45 am.  She is completely motivated by being able to come home at 16:00 and Dad gets home at 19:00.  She spends her down time on her bed practicing the ukulele, watching Jimmy Fallon or working through her pictures.  We love having her dimpled smile greet us and her 2 second head rubs.  Dad and she have become great lunch partners as well as avid 5 letter word game and online ticket to ride competitors.

Sunday Temple Day in Hong Kong

Hong Kong Temple has a quarterly Sunday Temple Day for the Filipino sisters that work everyday but Sunday.  It is a real blessing for them and they love it.  To run the temple on Sunday they use all of the missionary couples and branch leaders so they were grateful to have Emily able to help in the temple too.

We love working in the Island 1st Branch. The sisters are wonderful and fun for Dad to tease.  They are great pictures feigns and Dad is being a good sport about that.  They are humble. loving, faithful in adversity, and hard workers.  The Philippine saints are a blessing to the Church as they are all over the world trying to earn livings. We are grateful to be among them here.

Beautiful  Hong Kong Temple

I have been a temple worker since April.  I was not sure I could do it when I started, it is still not in my comfort zone.  This Hong Kong Temple is amazing because it deals with so many different cultures.  They can have 6 different languages going in one session.  It makes it tricky for the workers.  I have helped sisters from China (Mandrian and Cantonese), Thailand, India (English with a twist), USA and Mongolian.  It is very humbling!  It is also a great testimony that this is the Lord's work and He love all of His children!
