As a 7 year old Ben donated his beloved wagon, which his father had made for him, to the building of the Nauvoo temple.  As Ben, accompanied by his dog Bones, handed the wagon over to the foreman the kindly man said to Ben, “God bless you boy.  I know what it means to you.  No one has made a greater sacrifice to help build the Nauvoo Temple.  Your gift will help.”
When Benjamin Driggs was 19 he joined in the rescue of the handcart companies.  He married Olivia Thankful Pratt and they settled in Pleasant Grove Utah and lived out his days there.

Mary Graham was the mother of Thomas Graham Doxey. She died when he was 3 so information on her has been hard to find.  She was born in Carlisle England on the border of Scotland an area where many battles had been fought for centuries over that border.  Tom remembered his mother having long red hair.  She married Joseph Graham.  They were married for 7 years and had 4 children, 2 sons died one George Henry when 5 months old and Joseph about 2 weeks old, Mary Ellen ( who died when she was 15) and Thomas Graham.  She passed away from tuberculosis the day after giving birth to Joseph

George Doxey was married to Mary Graham whose birthday was the day before his.  He was listed as a stonemason, which was the same profession as his father, but after his first wife, Mary, died he wandered a lot and his mother raised his only living son Thomas Graham. George later remarried Delia Blake in Newburgh New York.  He had little contact with his son but in his final months he came to Utah and died there.
