We had a great Easter holiday that went from Thursday afternoon through Monday. I took Dad out exploring so we could have some pictures to put on here. He was a good sport. On Friday we went to the movies and saw Captain America #2. Then we ate lunch at Outback steak house and came home and started the Bourne series which entertained us throughout the holiday. Enough action movies for a lifetime I say! I think Dad was just getting started though. Saturday we went to Lantau Island to visit a little fishing village we named Tai O. It stared with a tram ride to the pier then a 50 minute ferry ride to the Island. We were 40 minutes early for the ferry so we patiently waited for that. At least we were first in line to get onto the boat. When we landed we caught a bus with standing room only left for us. It was a good thing it was only a 50 minute ride through winding steep roads :) As we arrived in Tai O it was mobbed with holiday tourists and many vendors in the tiny alleys. It was a
little village and felt smaller than it really was with the crowds. It was lunch time and we saw many people eating fish balls on a stick. They looked like a nice piece of fish and chip type fish but it did not taste like it so we settled for a refreshing orange. It was a bit hot that day too but we were patient and adventuresome with a determination to find the closest taxi to drive us to the MTR. As luck would have it there was a Haagen Das ice cream store right where the taxi dropped us off. That was true refreshment!

A tug boat pulling a large crane boat. There is some lesson about small things making a big difference.? |

Cute kids everywhere here. The Popsicle looked a little too good on this hot day. |
