Christmas 2013

Our first Christmas present was Abby arriving on Dec.13.  She was able to stay until Dec 31 and so we had almost 3 weeks of her company and fun outings, food, games, and chats! Thanks Abby for the great present!

Disneyland Hong Kong! Magical! Favorite ride was Grizzly Gulch :)

Cable ride over the mountains to the Big Buddha.  It was cold and scary!
 Monastery of the 10,000 Buddha's
This place leaves us with a bad taste because a "monk" approached us and asked for money giving us his blessings and we fell right into his trap.  We gave him 200 HK (25.00)  Then a kind gentleman told us we should not give money to anyone since it was a scam.

Christmas dinner for 3? please...
Christmas Eve family picture.

We purchased visa's and went into mainland China to village that is full of artists and art works. Dad's favorite kind of sight-seeing.

We saw a cute little 11-13 month old boy in his Chinese thick cotton pants and jacket.  He was toddling around. Then he bent over to climb up the steps and and the large gap in the back of the trousers (there on purpose for toilet training) revealed his bare behind! He moved to fast so we missed  a picture of it.

5 letter word games dedicated to Rachel and Emily.

Nan Lian Garden

Trees were flowering in the gardens. This was a favorite cite to visit.

On bus 6x to Stanley Market...more shopping!

Stanley Market pier

Wan Chai Market.  we walk through this market everyday to get to anywhere
we are going.  It is so hard to walk through a "store" on my way home and not
buy something.  So many little treasure hiding here.  This is the place to get
fried sesame rolls...yum!
