It was an adventure getting to Misawa Japan. We flew from Hong Kong to Narita airport near Tokyo then took a 55 minute train to Tokyo to catch another 3 1/2 hour fast train up the island to Hachinoe where Jeff picked us up and then we drove 45 minutes to their home on the AFB. It sounds pretty crazy but over all it was not too bad. The trains were nice and more comfortable than an airplane.
It was also very exciting to be with our Page family. They have a cozy home in a lovely rural area and on the base there is everything they need to keep up the busy life of a young family. It is rather cold and snowy there but we enjoyed the change of weather from Hong Kong it reminded us of Moscow.
