We heard that there was some good gelato to be found in Central Hong Kong. We set out for our Saturday outing to hunt it down. As we left the apartment the darkness was looming over the city even though it was 11 am. We felt a little mist but did not think too much about it. As we got on the ding ding to ride down to central the skies were very dark and heavy and the windshield was showing signs of rain drops. As we stepped off the ding ding and headed to the mid level escalators to find Cochran Street it became a down pour. Equal to the deluges we often got in Houston. Luckily we had umbrellas but they did not protect our feet from the deep puddles. We did not really know where we were going and it was not a great time to wander around the streets to find it but we persisted. We finally found the gelato stores which were right next to each other. We tried XTC first, it was not too impressive. We went into Primo next and it was better but we decided neither were worth the trip down to central. Wet up to our ankles we trudged back home. On the way home we pass a chocolate store that also has gelato so we thought we better check that out again while we were in the position to make a good comparison. Long story short and 3 gelato's later ... we will be sticking to Haagen Das mint leave ice cream. Adventures in Hong Kong :) Sadly I did not remember the camera.
