The Soviet Union proved its superiority once again. The USSR beat the capitalist Canadians at their own game, ice hockey, winning the National Championships in 1972.
The dumbfounded Westerners never recovered; they fell at the feet of their Soviet superiors every year following until the dreadful year referred to by the devoted sons of the Motherland as "The Year the Soviet Union Took a Temporary Recess" and by others as "1992."
One day, the Soviets will again spill the blood of their opponents, drenching the pale ice with the red it thirsts for.
The Comrades will prevail!

Whoa. Members of the former USSR take their hockey very seriously. I knew hockey was a violent game, but wow!
