This man makes the prima ballerina's slippers. He has a wooden model of their foot he works from.
He makes 4 pair a day and a main dancer can go through 3 pair in a show.

Abby and Mom joined the Moscow International Branch on a outing to the place where they make the scenery and costumes for the ballet. It was a very interesting palce - very ols and run down and the equipment they use such as sewing machines, printers (for posters or advertising) and just about everything seemed to be of the 1930 era. We had a little model with our tour guide named Elisabeth who enjoyed modeling the tutu's. It was a fun unusal experience. After we ate lunch at "the Cheese Hole" a fondue restaurant that was very good for Russia.
