Here is the artist who painted my first and only Matruska doll. The big church is the Cathedral on the spilt blood where one built on the spot where one of the Tzars was murdered in the 1800's Nicholas 1 I think. The ladies are singing Russian songs at Ismylovo.

Mom, these pictures are great! It looks like y'all saw some very cool stuff--um, yeah, that's really descriptive, but you know what I mean. I especially love that you met and got a picture of the woman who painted your matroyshka--I think you should put a picture of the matroyshka on the blog, though, so that we can see it.
